NWT (with defects) Y2K Vintage Niki by Niki Livas Strapless Embroidered Sequin and Crystal Ballgown with Blue Tulle Overlay

A beautiful and romantic piece that could be a recital gown or a costume piece for a show set in the 19th century or 1950s. I estimate Y2K vintage. It is brand new with all tags with some shelf wear defects, which are pictured.
I made small repairs with clear thread to 2 rips in the tulle right up near the top seam. One is under your left arm and unlikely to be visible and the other is near the zipper on the back, also not really visible for that reason. I also clipped some loose threads in the embroidery that were caused by threads snagging against the AB crystals' prong settings when the dress was folded in on itself. For that reason I suggest not storing the dress by folding it. The eye to the hook and eye closure at the zipper top is also missing, but you don't really need it because the zipper is sturdy enough. I spotted some dust near the hem on the left side of the tan colored inner layer (they call it nude) but the blue tulle covers it. And someone left a couple penmarks inside near the tag, maybe to mark this as a discounted item. Not visible during wear.

I love the embroidery detail on this gown - there are also clear AB crystals with prong settings sprinkled in and those details make this dress so special. I think it may actually work for a true 8 with a small waist or a 6 - It was clearly a bit loose on my dress form although I chose not to clip it because I didn't want to mess up the outer layer. There is tulle lining so this gown is pretty poofy and should not need a crinoline.
