Gorgeous black rayon crepe, satin and lace cocktail dress by Carlye. Circa 1950s.

Medium weight deep black rayon crepe cocktail dress with a black lace bodice and a black satin pleated cummerbund waist and darted wiggle skirt.

I have lightened a few of the photos to show details - the color is a deep rich black.

The upper part of the lace bodice and sleeves are backed with nude color nylon creating an illusion effect. The bottom of the lace bodice features dangling self fabric ball fringe all around as pictured.

The bodice (below the nude nylon) and 4-1/4" wide black pleated satin cummerbund are lined with black acetate.

The rayon skirt is lightly gathered where it is sewn to the cummerbund with a center front inverted pleat as pictured.

There is a small center back 3" kick pleat and a 2-1/2" turned under hem in case you need it. The skirt is unlined.

I'm 5'4" and this comes to the top of my calf. It may be shorter or longer on you depending on your height.

Does up the center back with a 13" long metal zipper. Please note that the zipper works perfectly - the picture of the zipper undone in the back is because the dress is too small for my mannequin - the following photo shows the dress zipped.

CONDITION: Excellent. There are no odors, discoloration, fading, snags, picks, holes, stains, rips, or other issues. Gently worn and very well cared for.

SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Extra Extra Small to Extra Small (XXS, 2XS, XS).
