A little history: In 1906, tailors Samuel Christenfeld & M. Halpern founded Halpern and Christenfeld, offering custom English riding pants & gear in Brooklyn, New York.

As the 40's neared, they began offering Western style outerwear to the masses, soon collaborating with Rockmount Ranch Wear, to design their first western shirts.

Soon the name was changed to H Bar C. Christenfelds son Seymour, moved to LA to run H Bar C Ranchwear California, working along side Western Costumer, Nudie Cohn, famous for his intricate embroidery & applique designs, producing H Bar C Western shirts & some of Nudies Rodeo lines.
