Vintage Milk Glass Small Hobnail Pitcher Vase Farmhouse Wedding Cottage Décor$18.00
This sweet little hobnail pitcher could have been a small milk pitcher, a tall creamer or a syrup pitcher. But it can be used for any number of things, including as a vase—the white against flowers and greenery is beautiful.
It is about 5 ¼” high and 4” across at the top. If you use it as a pitcher, it holds 14 ounces.
There are no chips or cracks. There is some discoloration around one of the hobnails and on the inside. Neither feel like slight chips or cracks, so I’m thinking they would have occurred during the production process. There are some spots and other imperfections in the finish that also would have happened during production. See pics.
It is not marked with a manufacturer’s name, but it has the numbers “12”.
Milk glass is the new ironstone for collectors because it’s so much more affordable yet just as beautiful. As you can see from the pictures, there are lots you can do with a bowl like this.
