I love vintage Aladdin teapots in general, but this one is especially enchanting because of its size. I’ve never come across a small one before. It holds 3 cups—perfect if you’re making tea for just yourself.

It’s about 8 ½” long from handle to the tip of spout, 4 ½” wide and 5” high from the bottom to top of the lid.

On the body of the teapot, there are some tiny bumps or fleabites, which would have happened during the production process. There’s a chip about ¼” long on the handle and there’s a teeny chip on the very bottom that you don’t see at all. On the lid, there are a few spots of discoloration in the glaze and 2 chips on the underside of the lip that are not noticeable on top. The chips on the handle and lid are old ones, which I always think adds character. There’s some glare in the pics that are not flaws.

There is no maker’s mark and I haven’t been able to determine what company made it. It was likely made in the 1940s or 1950s.
