I am not exaggerating when I say — this skirt is EVERYTHING (except the right size).
This blue & green picnic plaid full skirt by Liz Claiborne, gives off major Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday vibe. Clearly inspired by decades before, this was released during the 1980's does 1950's trend — one that I love.
The smocked waist allows you to play with just how you want the waist to fit, with a grand belt. It was made for spinning around and showing off it's fullness. Should hit right at the knee or slightly below it depending on the length of your legs.
Marked a size 10, the skirt is best suited to a modern XS, S, M, or L — the smocking at the top and the stretch at the waist gives it a little leeway — but the lining that begins at the hips will restrict some folks. If you'd fit at the waist, but not the hips — it looks like it would be easy to take out the lining and embrace the wonderful open hips measurements and twirl to your hearts content.
