Welcome to the Vintage Fashion Library!
This is the perfect summer skirt for a hippie chick or even a cottage core girl! Done in a theme of red, white and blue, it'd be great for a 4th of July barbecue. True vintage 70s at its best! It is a faux patchwork pattern of paisley bandanna type print and oversized calico, alternating with polka dots. The strips are a part of the fabric's pattern, so there are not individual strips - this is called cheater fabric in the sewing community, and it makes sewing a garment so easy! There is a ruffled flounce hem. Gathered at the waistline, it closes in back with a metal zipper and button closure. Zipper moves freely, and there are no defects seen in this garment, but you will want to press down the fabric around the zipper a bit. No tags. I believe that it is home sewn. Most likely 100% cotton of medium weight. There is no stretch in this garment.
This would pair perfectly with a tee or a boho top.
Measurements in inches, laid flat (double for full size and compare to a similar garment that fits you well):
