If Jay Gatsby were real, this bag definitely would have attended his parties! Seriously, it could not be more perfect. This cinch top bag is a 1920's/30's Whiting & Davis. The silver mesh is in gorgeous condition proudly boasting all the sparkle you could want while maintaining a unique fluid-like consistency. It is lined with an extremely clean ivory taffeta hand stitched in, in pristine condition. Tbh, it blows my mind anytime I find a bag with this age and cleanliness.
Whiting & Davis has been producing bags of glamorous metal mesh since 1876, and still produces and sells on the luxury market today. It is absolutely one of the longest standing fashion companies, and their styles have remained true to their roots.
