This vintage 1960s sheath dress from a former Adolfo boutique at Saks Fifth Avenue is made with a 70/30 wool and rayon blend yarn, quite similar to St. John's santana knits. (“Santana” was the name given to the proprietary yarn developed by St. John's founder, Marie Gray, in 1965. It is most often an 80% wool/20% rayon blend and is loved for its ability to retain its shape and resist wrinkling.) The shape of this dress is a subtle A-line. The accent stripes around the collar and cuffs, and the long ties are a deep navy color that could easily pass for black. No size label, so we are estimating it be a fit for Small/Medium sizes (6/8). Please refer to the measurements for additional guidance regarding size. All measurements taken with the yarn relaxed.
